William Alston is a data and analytics professional based in Washington, DC, with experience in enterprise data infrastructure, metadata governance, and business intelligence engineering.

His professional background includes the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he worked on data policy, metadata management, and the SEC Data Catalog. Those systems were designed to maintain consistency and discoverability across large-scale institutional data. He currently serves as Senior Power BI Developer at WebFirst, where he builds and maintains enterprise reporting infrastructure.

Alston Analytics is his research and consulting practice, focused on applied problems in data reconciliation, explainable analytics, and adaptive learning. The firm's research prototypes include systems for cross-source data consistency, AI-assisted analytical interfaces, and autonomous reporting workflows. All of them are built and tested against real-world data conditions.

He holds a Master's degree in Business Economics and Management from KU Leuven (Belgium) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Kean University (New Jersey).
